Evolution VII Spoiler Problem

This post is for you guys that have bought an aftermarket EVO VII Spoiler.

If you have bought one where did you get it from and how much did you pay for it?

Also, did it fit right and if not what was wrong with it?

Thanx for the help

i got a cf evo vii spoiler from ebay and theres a few things wrong..

its made for an evo unless you drill an extra hole in your trunk, it will fit but the stability will be off a little.

There will be an extra hole on your trunk if you previously had the oz spoiler or any spoiler with a middle stabilizer

The cutting on the carbon fiber was really ****ty and unfinished

The screw hole that hooks one of the arms to the narrow piece was too big or something and the screw didnt fit right, i need to glue it

I accidently tightened the screws too hard and messed up the clear coat around it...

so basically you should get the real evo spoiler or keep the oz one.. your choice.

Bought mine from makotoautotrends.com. Received it in perfect condition. Quality of the fiberglass was awesome...not perfect but almost. It fits my Lancer, just make sure you test fit it first before you start drilling.

I have a evo 7 spoiler, and it's perfect. yes, you might have a extra hole but so what, get a nice sticker and cover it and you'll be just fine. Perfect fitment and look so much better than the stock one. One of mine proudest buy from ebay. (cuz I got it for pretty cheap!)

i bought the CF spoiler from calvin, it fit fine, it looks great, and I'm very happy w/ it, yes there is the hole in the middle if you had the oz spoiler but they're ways around it

how much was the total cost after you got the fiberglass ones painted. because if its more than the CF one i should just go with that since i have a black car.

I got a fiberglass one off ebay for 159, its pretty nice, just had to drill a third hole for each side post and fill in the center hole from the old wing.. cost me... 200 to have it painted, but im definitly happy with it.

Hey Richie. I took the wing to the tire place, and they said my best route would be to just fiberglass it all into one piece. Then do some touchup sanding, and re-primer it. Total would be around $150. I'm going to take it to your uncles before I make any deicsions though.
