Here it is: Yesterday while washing my car I noticed my pass. side eyelid had come (slightly) loose, the end pointing towards the grill, so i tell myself "I'll fix it tomarow at work" So as my luck goes somewhere between my buddies house and mine (15 mi) It's gone Now (and untill I get a new eyelid) my lancer looks like it had been punched in the driver side headlight.
If any one out there has a passenger side RRM eyelid they want to get rid of please let me know. I'm going to get ahold of RRM to see if they will sell just one instead of set, unless someone has a better deal for me.

Sorry to hear that. What did you use to install it with? I am about to install a set myself and would like to avoid that from happening. I was thinking clear apoxy

 

I used double-sided tape, and about a day later one was about to fall off, not to mention they are very easy to steal with tape. I pulled mine off and used a clear two part 5 minute epoxy and now they are on good.

 

The original batch of RRM eyelids did not lock secure the way the newer ones do. Basically they were only held on by adhesive (glue or tape).

 

That just sounds pretty funny

3M 5200 adhesive works very well (takes a while to dry)
JB weld for plastics works great (what I used)

 

man...RRM should make eye lids that acctually bots on to the stock nut on the headlight...

 

they should make the eyelids that go around the backside of the lamp under the hood, so they are on there super dooper!

 

Well I've spoke with the owner of RRM, he said since they buy them in pairs they have to sell them in pairs Oh well I can understand (sorta) So I'm ordering a new set.

If anyone or anyone you know needs a driver side fiberglass eyelid I'll soon have one to spare PM me if intrested in making a deal.

I'll prob. order tonight or tomarrow.

 

GuruDel might be selling his eyelids to get the CF ones soon (hope you don't mind, they're t-gray )

I personally like the CF eyelids, because they have an extra lip going over the headlight that the hood closes down onto with its rubber seal, making it hard to steal them. He should start making the fiberglass ones like that, too. And I also likes that idea about making them extend to have that bolt hold onto them.
