Dewood, did you get your bulbs from a retail big box store? you need to take a picture of them in the light, not the shade. And dont focus the camera with the light in the middle, if its a new digital camera angle it 20% away from the light so that it doesnt try to compensate colors.

Anyways i have a video of the lights in deep dark fog for everyone to see

incorrect, Nokya Yellows can not melt wires because they are Stage 1 bulbs, they only draw stock wattage.

Nokya 5000k blue and Nokya 8500k purple draw 80 to 100 watts
Nokya yellows 2500k only draw Stock wattage.

lol its easy go to http://www.nokyausa.com/headlights.html

if it says stage one then its always going to be stock wattage, if it is stage 2 then its its what ever is on the package.

Stage one bulbs are simulated wattage, Stage 2 = actual wattage draw

Then you guys are going to love this. Here is my video with the same nokya Yellows but the H4 bulb stage 1.
In use on the highway in near 0 visibility fog at night.
Just headlights on, No fogs.

Watch how it it lights up signs and the lines in the road.

this is what i am talking about. Keep an eye on the lines on the road next to me as other cars pass, even cars with HID systems. watch their reflections

Second here is a picture from Nokyas Korean Website

In Maine. yellow lights of any kind are illegal. fogs or headlights. which doesnt make any since to me since they are better for winter driving and come stock like that on some cars. maine is stupid. I would think you could get away with fogs but I would think yellow headlights would draw a lot of negative attention.

I did a review of these bulbs like two years ago so i am going to drag it over for everyone to check out. Its my 2 cents... Its unedited cause i am to lazy to even look for more bad grammer. so you have been warned lol

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~Nokya Hyper Yellow H4 Bulb (review)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its been a while since i have done a review, so forgive me, for those of you looking for headlighting options then i would consider the following.

~~~~~~ Product Name and Product Description
Nokya Hyper Yellow (pro Halogen)
Manufacturer: www.spwusa.com - Overseas connection is I think Korean
Bulb Type: H4
Wattage [draw]: 55
Wattage [output]: 80
Color: Hyper Yellow
Color Temp: 2500K
Warranty: Varies from retailer to retailer
~~~Their Spin on it "Quote"

Upgrade your stock headlight bulbs with NOKYA's newest Hyper Yellow Pro-Halogens. The bright yellow JDM styling provides optimum visibility, and a great look for your car!

~~~~~~Verdict
There is a long standing debate over Yellow headlights vs. all the others. what it comes down to is what sacrifice are you going to make when it comes to your car vision. I will explain below
Brightness/Projection
=80% (85% with white fog lights)
The Debate: These bulbs project light extremely far that is a fact and that has a direct relation to the long wavelength of yellow light. but there is a catch, or at least from my observations. Although the light travels far, those benefits are only relative to the objects it hits. and i am not talking about fog and bad weather just yet. I will get to that in a minute. What i am talking about here is literally the objects that your light hits. All reflective surfaces such as signs, car reflectors show up and illuminate 2 times better then standard headlights and would even say at extreme distances it can even Match a HID system. I am no science wise so I did refer to a physics prof at the UofT. But it is true that Yellow light will project further due to its longer wave length, only Green and Red top that. Other colors below or shorter will encounter the "dispersion" effect due to a shorter and narrower wavelength.
On the Road: Getting beyond all the science, when it actually comes to using the headlights you will definatlly notice a difference right off the bat. For starters, your headlights are yellow, so when you pull up to a white car stopped in front of you, the color of that car will turn yellow, i must stress that this headlight is by all definitions of the word "YELLOW". Also when you are driving on the road/highway, the actually road itself will be yellow, same thing with the white lines on the road for lanes, is that a good thing or bad thing? The answer is yes, when the road is wet and its rainy the lines that we have a hard time seeing are actually illuminated better.
Speaking of bad weather, this is another point of debate, White Vs. Yellow. and its hard in the middle of a snow storm to say which is best you cant hop out and make the switch, but based on my perception i would say the answer is Yellow. Why? Because even if the light penetrated the same, you still get the safety advantage of illuminating reflective objects in front of you. Which for a fact I can see alot clearly with the yellow lights in bad rain and heavy snow. Also your yellow lights are seen by other cars quite easy so from the other side of the safety matter your lights will be seen from father away. Highbeams just produce brighter light, but i will tell you , you flash that stuff driving down the street at midnight and everyones car reflectors , street lights, and everything else will reflect back at ya. its actually really cool how far your light travels.
NEGATIVES: Objects that are colored black are more difficult to see, for example a black car will not turn yellow and it absorbes the yellow light in away that makes it a bit worse then white light. Another thing that might scare the crap out of you is if someone is walking on the side of the road dressed in all black you may have a harder time making out. how bad is it, if i were to put it into numbers, i would say a 10 to 20% penalty for black objects, but nothing to the point where its dangerous. Its something to make note of. How do you solve this issue? well since we are using the H4's as our Primary headlighting system, if your fog lights are standard white then, that penalty with black objects will be resolved.
Color/Style/Night time look/ LEGAL or ILLEGAL?
=80%
The color: As I stated above, these lights are yellow, they are not stock lights with a tinge of yellow to it, they are in every definition of the word yellow and i cant stress that enough.
Style: These are eye grabbers to people who notice, but the one thing I like about the lights is that they are not invasive to the eyes, people who are on coming will not get their eyes burned by the color and i call it a very soft light to look at. The beam is yellow and projects that color on to objects. If you have a yellow protege then this upgrade is for you. Another thing i like is that your friends can pick you out a mile away and know your coming in. It works great when you have to pick somoene up on the street, "look for the yellow lights"
Legal Stuff: I can not confirm if these are DOT or SAE approved, I am sure a call in to them can find that out for you. But and this is a true fact at least when it comes to here in Canada / Ontario. The colour of these headlights are absolutly LEGAL. In the Highway Act of Ontario, it states. http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/DBLaws/S...sh/90h08_e.htm
Section 62. subsection (1) When on a highway at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise and at any other time when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 metres or less, every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall carry three lighted lamps in a conspicuous position, one on each side of the front of the vehicle which shall display a white or amber light only, and one on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red light only. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (1).
subsection (3) When on a highway at any time every motorcycle with a side car shall carry a lighted lamp in a conspicuous position on each side of the front of the vehicle which lamps shall display a white or amber light only and a lighted lamp on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red light only. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (3).
A cop can not give you a ticket because your yellow light falls within the realm of amber, if a cop gives you a hard time ask him what color comes before red at a traffic light, if he says yellow you have him. but all games a side, if you are still issued the ticket just request that he indicate on the ticket what color he sees. i dont know about in the states, but in canada an officer must explain to you the infraction you have commited in a manner that you understand. But dont give the cop a hard time or he might look for something else to give you a ticket on.
Value/Price
=80%
For the price of 25 dollars i would say yes, its worth it. I always stress that if you are buying anything, buy it with a visa or mastercard and take advantage of the double waranty feature on your cards, not sure if thats only standard in Canada, but call your credit card company and ask them about their extended warenty program. But for the 4 months I have been using them, its been running great.
If your a fan of yellow, its great, if not, well its not for you.
But if your sick of the other colors out there or tired of replacing your stocks then give these a try.
I will update this review if something happens.
Enough
As in my review, In ontario, our laws say the bulbs must be White or Amber for your head on beams.
So since Yellow is within the realm of true Amber and White its all completely legit. and beleive me some cops try to BS thru the ticket but once you quote the Second from the Traffic Act, they cant do S#*T
I agree with evo_soul that don't get the higher wattage ones because i've known a few people who got the higher wattage ones and it melted their harnesses.
you can always buy the upgrade harness, if your handy with electronics and dont mind cutting wires then you can buy the basic one. Or if you dont wanna cut you pay double for a plug and play harness. But the Nokya 8500k Purples are the hottest wattage draw one at 100watts I think so I am pretty sure your stock stuff will start cooking if you dont have a harness
