DIY Black Head light question

Hi, I just took apart my head lights and im about to paint them with primer but i ran into a problem.
Would i paint inside where the turn signal is located? Becuase if i do wouldn't it make it not shine or is the stock bulbs still bright enough if i do paint them?

Thats after removing the little lens

Well, do you want it to illuminate or not? It's really up to you...but seeing the turn signal lense isn't totally clear, I'd not touch it.

yeah i was wondering if i do paint it would it not make my turn signal visible at all when i use it? or would people still see that i'm blinking to the left or right just not completely illuminated?

because in a way i do want to paint it because i think it will look better but then im afraid its not going to be visible AT ALL

tape it off with magic blue tape. it shouldn't be too hard. cover the part with tape and trim so you don't miss any of what you're attempting to paste.

I didn't paint mine and you can't tell a bit cause it's covered by that lense. If you're painting it, its gonna look nearly exactly the same as leaving it chrome except the blinker won't hardly work if it's black. Sounds like you made your choice already though, good luck

^You sure? All I can see of my side yellow lights since I've painted the housing black is the small bulb. It doesn't light up at all like it used to. i find it hard to believe the blinker lights up like stock if there is no chrome reflecting the light...
