Yup. This has been covered. Your best bet is to find someone with the same color car who doesn't like the big wing, and swap trunk lids.

If you don't patch a hole like that well enough, it'll rust like nobody's business. My car's already rusting like a ***** just from rock chips.

That is to bad, thought that it was an easy upgrade. So what would you do if you want a bigger wing and didn't want to change trunk lids

Any good body shop should be able to fill the center hole from the small wing and color match it. It wouldn't be cheap, considering it would need to be sanded, painted and clearcoated.

After that, it's a matter of bolting on the new wing, from what I understand. I think the holes line up ad everything.

if you are buying carbon fibre there is no need to paint the wing all you would have to do is cover the hole and paint. or you could buy a plug for the hole. this is the reason i bought an es.

A few people floating around here have installed different wings on Lancers, CF or otherwise. Calvin's EVOVII wings used to be big sellers. Check the registry.

I know zlancer's got an Evo7 wing, if you wanted an example.

Have a hole left in the center, and will have to drill two extra holes.
