my beater with hand me downs

update some new pics
i thought that i owed it to the little beater to have a few better pics on here. so uhm.. here they are.

old part of the thread
this car is my daily driver. when i got coilovers for the evo i decided to put it's old stechs on the es. i don't plan on doing to much else to this car except maybe some rims. most of my money goes to my evo.

i got a good deal on some cheap rims. not what i was looking for but they will work.
i tested to see fitment and i'm waiting on tires. here are some crummy pics.

thanks for looking. i love the evo but this little car is fun in it's own right.

That's cool, 2 Lancers. I plan on doing the same when I get an Evo, except mine wont be quite a beater, but more of a daily driver like it is now. That's pretty clean though. I agree with the others: Rims/tires and a drop would suffice.

lol - one mans beater is another mans pride and joy on this site. must be nice!
and i agree with getting some rims…always better than stock steelies
other than that…mods under $10…black out the front grille and de-badge the rear!

when it was on the evo it had 2 in the front and about 1.5 in the back. It looks about the same. Most people say springs aren't good for handeling but I took it on some twisties this weekend and it didn't feel like a boat about to tip over anymore. Who knows how long the evo shocks will last. I purchased the car from my fiancé when she got her outlander. It does need some claybar wax and polish action Even though I call it my beater I have respect for this little car. So no offence to other regular lancers. I think I might put some 15x7 axis ogs or 16x7 sportmax whatever fits without rubbing(and is cheaper). Thanks for the comments

I don't mind the grill and badges. The rims I want have a polished lip that might match them. Who knows.

I hope I can turn my O2 into my beater by the end of the year or next. Basically it depends on how the house situation goes. I want an 09 Ralliart, but the wifey said it depends on that situation since I decided to get her the Outlander last year. Car looks good though man... for a beater.

thanks i understand the house thing. if i didn't have a family i'd live in a garage with cars. but instead i have a house payment that sometimes prevents me from getting parts for my car. oh well it's worth it. good luck getting a new ralliart. they sound like they are gonna be nice. i like the 04 i had but they were killing me on intrest. for some reason i got a much better rate on the evo.

Haha, this guy is one of the few Evo owners that doesn't crap on Lancers! That's awesome. I have the same plan, keep my Lancer once I get an Evo. Keep the insurance down by saying it is a weekend car.

Debadge the rear, get some 16s, do something with the grill and you'll be set.

The Evo looks good btw. Kinda looks like you have a VII wing.

yeah. Thats a seven style wing but when my new bumper and side steps (for the evo) get here I'm taking it off. I wish I could find someone with an oz lip and sides to trade for it. It isn't a bad wing I just want the wingless look on my evo. Thanks for the comments.
