Is this a good price for paint job?
Ok so a local shop has quoted me $500.00 US to paint my body kit and the sides of my CF hood. He said it would be about 300$ in supplies (that seems steep to me but i could be wrong?). And then the remaining 200 for labor. This is a yellow lancer, and as far as supplies goes he named primer, paint, clearcoat, and flex additive. Ive seen his work it is good stuff. But is this price outragous or typical for a good job?
thanks

The guy who did my hood the first time under warranty (to Mitsu spec, using Mitsu money) is reshooting my entire front end (the front gap in the doors forward). He's going to do it the right way (i.e. not Mitsu spec) and I will be paying $900. I'm getting a deal because I've referred people to his shop. I've seen this guys work before, not just on my car, and it is top notch. That's why he's painting my car again.
If your paint shop is using high quality materials and painting the way a car should be painted- good primer and base coats, several layers of quality paint that are allowed to dry properly, claercoat and the flex additive (read: not Mitsu spec) then $500 for a bodykit and hood is not too bad.
Sorry about the run-on sentences. I can't help myself. Ask my highshool writing teacher.
