If they're close to stock, they present other issues like little to no performance increase (already an issue for springs) and a harsh ride since the springs won't have the travel needed for how soft they are. That's why most lowering springs are stiffer than stock, they need to be stiffer to stop the car from bottoming out.

 

Yeah, just remember that you've kept nearly-stock rates, but the springs are way shorter. This is a dramatic change to the system. Hopefully the stock struts can hold up to the stress (haven't seen any blown strut posts yet).

I like it. The front setup is very nice, hood subtle and simple so nice as well, rear bumper is ok, but im sure in the future there will be a lot more rear bumpers to pick from to change it up..

That has to be the sweetest 08 by far. For some reason, that doesn't look like the stock GG for the lancer, it looks a little darker, but could be the lighting of the camera. IMO I'm not a big fan of an all carbon fiber hood, but it does look hot. To make it look meaner, I say to get rid of the chrome badge in the front, and either go with it in grey to match the car, or get an overlay and go with it in red. It looks pretty bad ***, I have it in red on my car, and it looks alot meaner! But overall, I like the look of the car, not to crazy and overdone, and it's really clean. Good job

the only way I can distinguish your GTS from a X would be the front fenders....

they are OEM GTS Wheels, they are custom painted Shadow Mica

yes i got the body kit from bodykits.com, but it takes a whole lot of work and time to get it to look this good.

yes my side skirts are molded into the body.

also, it is the stock Graphite Grey Pearl and the black you see on the car is actually Shadow Mica

the mesh is being fabricated right now for the fogs, i am adding cf pieces behind the opening on the side skirts, the chrome signs are getting a red overlay to match my rim center caps, i am getting a cf engine cover from one of my boys from LancerTuners.com (its actually the RRM one), i am also getting the RRM crank pully, and the RRM Cf trunk lip.

but trust me when i say this, the car is no where near complete.
