Actually my car is thunder grey. but thanks.

So I will tell the company to not waste their time but instead look at angel eyes and projector headlights (my guess would those would be about $300+ a pair).

Nope not projector.

Just noticed these on the road, OEM US-SPEC black housing headlights. This is STOCK on the Ford Mustang 2003

Picture from FordVehicles.com

Black housing seems perfectly legal to me.

EDIT- Added another picture and fixed spacing

honestly guru i think the company would do better business by looking into the angel eyes or projector style lights...i think a higher price would still fetch plenty of business

What I'm wondering is if they made that light from scratch, or did they just purchase headlight units from Mitsu and just painted them? It certainly looks like they just painted the already-made headlights. I think I'm speaking for everyone else here, it's not that we dislike the lights, we just don't want to pay a company to do something that's so simple we can do it ourselves. If we were going to pay money for a set of headlights, it better be radically different so it's worth the money.

For all those looking at the DOT issue for black, it is because the lights do not pass reflection testing on the side markers of the lamp. Depo is thinking of turning out an all black housing with a chrome side marker so that it passes DOT and also thinking about the possibility of a projector. No halo plans at this time, Depo wants to keep price reasonable.
