autox 4/13/08
autox 4/13/08
finally! the first autox of the year. things didn't go to well for the beginning of the day, there were just as many people who showed up to the event to race as there were who pre-registered. this was the ONE time i didn't pre-register, too. the course was a course for 80 drivers but we ended up with 160. with only two cars on the course at the same time because of the course design--things took awhile. i was standing out in the rain for at least three and a half hours for heat 1.
when i finally got to race it was either the course was more difficult than i'd thought or i just wasn't pushing the car in the right places but i didn't do too good i don't think. i took out a couple cones with a vengeance, too. in one of the pictures my girlfriend took i think you actually can see me slamming a cone and a course worker taking off to reset it.

there's one more picture of my car... and below that for the
leghumpers such as myself there's a few pics of the evo X that showed up to race. i talked to the guy a little about the car, he really liked it. it looked awesome out on the course--definitely a car built for this kind of play. sorry we didn't get any really good shots of the front.

not all regions or clubs use it (our region doesn't anymore), but you can check: http://www.myautoevents.com
