id get megan coilovers. i was iffy at first about megans because of their manifolds..etc. but their coilovers seem to be pretty good. ive heard bad things about ksports. the only reason why i went with teins because i got a really good deal on them.

I'd have to agree, especially if you are going to slam it. To my knowledge, the Tein SS, like the Basics, do not come with adjustable pillowball mounts, which would require you to purchase camber bolts, or find some aftermarket pillowball mounts (Tein may also sell them, but it's an added expense). From the pictures, the megan appears to have the adjustable pillowball mounts included. If you plan to slam it, and this is a daily driven car, or even if it isn't and you just want somewhat normal tire wear, the camber is going to need some extra adjustment.

If you're going to slam the car, why buy coilovers at all? I would go with a bag setup since you clearly don't need performance if you're only concern is having the lowest car possible.

I have tein basics on my 03, and I had them originally set pretty low, and then they "settled" a bit. I had it set back to original Tein recommended height, and it looks &rides real good now. Take a look at my pic's I believe I have a decent pic of the rear, where it's almost "tuckin" and it's not even set all the way. The picture is with a stop sign I believe, I added it so you can see the height. The front is pain to have real low unless you roll your fenders or something. I also have a pic of the front driver side 3 days after I had my teins put in before I raised it up a little. It was set pretty low like I mentioned and had a few notches left to go down further. Note I have 17"- Enkei PKR's with Tein's, so don't look at the old pic's with the multi-spoke 18's and coilover sleeves.

If you want I can try and get my buddy to lower it further while I'm at work this week before I sell the car. Let me know and I'll see if he's up to it, if not I"ll ask my mechanic, he's cool like that and would do it for free if he has time. None the less let me know if your truly still interested in trying to see a "slammed" lancer with coilovers and I'll do my best to get some pic's on here. But like someone has mentioned.. If you want it low and don't care about performance, you might as well get BAGS.

Perfect response. 100% true. Bags is the way to go. slamming coilovers down hinders there performance more then anything and thats the reason for getting them. There is such a thing as performance height and show height.
