TEIN FLEX for US Lancer Possibility

Ok, after doing some searching on here about Lowering Springs and Coilovers,
I have come to discover that the Evo 7 and Evo 8 Shocks and Springs are different from eachother.
In the discussions about TEIN not providing much for the ES, its been said that since the Basics & SS for the OZ are both an entire unit, they will fit the ES. Its not as if you were trying to put just OZ appropriate Springs over an ES Shock...
We also know that this is a Fact. You can put the Basics or the SS on a Lancer ES,
even tho TEIN lists OZ.
Apperently TEIN didnt do their research, and thought the ES and OZ where the same and (understandably) assumed theyde fit, therefore they only manufactured one design.

Ok now, more to the point...
In doing my searching and discovering that the Evo 7 setup is different than the Evo 8... Ive discovered that the configuration of the bolt/mounting holes etc. is the same as the US Lancer.

SO... My question is (which seems logical to me, but I gotta be sure):
Keeping TEINs "reasearch reliability" issue in mind... If TEIN makes a Type Flex Coilover for the Evo 7, could we take it and make it mount to the US Lancer?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no because of the different rear suspensions.

CS6A Lancer: DSR66-KUSS2

CT9A Evo VII and VIII: DSR84-KUSS2

CT9A Evo VIII MR: DSR84-KUSS2

CT9A Evo IX: DSR84-KUSS2

Now there are different part numbers for the Lancer and the Evo. Despite the Evos having the same part numbers, they all have different spring rates. Presumably the different part numbers indicate different fitments, and this is reinforced by the fact that the Evos all share a part number despite having other differences in their SS dampers.
