Anyone have input on the tint situation? Would 30% all the way around be good?

Again 33% is the legal darkness on the fronts.

30 percent is very dark. check out some pictures of lancers in the show and shine section. one of them has a lancerGTS with 20 percent tint, and that's pretty dark.

20 would probably be the best combination of exterior looks and visibility for you the driver. 30-35 would be a good option if you still want it to look pretty good and be legal.

I would consider 20% all the way around but it's illegal.

How common is it for a cop to do a tint check, and are all of them capable of doing it? Is it a tool they have?

yeah, there's a tool some cops carry around. but if it's obviously illegal, then there's no reason for them to check. my cousin had 20% on his civic and a cop put a big slash through it and told him it needs to go now.

I just went out and looked at my car and the water spots are so hard on there like baked on by the sun, I hope it doesn't damage the paint. I had sprayed it off with water after it rained and there was some dirty and tree **** on it figuring that I would be taking it to the dealership on monday and they are going to detail it again anyway. Please let me know if these spots are going to hurt it.

What part of Phx are you in? I got my GTS from Avondale Mitsu and they were 1000% better than Mark Mitsu to deal with.

Sounds good, let me know!

Also, I'm finally taking her in tomorrow for a cleaning/simoniz application at the dealership.

I sent off a letter addressing my concerns of the poor service I have received from sales to Mark Dubowy, owner of Mark Mitsubishi. (took it in an envelope to the front desk lady at the Glendale location and she said she would mail it over to Mr. Dubowy)

Next week I'm going in for mudflaps, debadging, and application of the front vinyl piece.

I found out I already have tint on there, haha.

Was at the dealership today and they did the exterior simoniz (interior tuesday since they don't have the trunk mat in and they want to apply it to that as well), redid the tint on the left rear window since there was a few bubbles in the corner, debadged the rear, ordered the clip for the right door tweeter that was installed with a loose clip at the factory. They also tried to install that vinyl piece from ebay but they said it was cut incorrectly so they gave it back to me and are making a custom vinyl piece to do it! Already contacted the eBay seller I purchased it from to get a refund.

35% front / 20% rear

Tuesday will be:

Addition of trunk mat
Mudflap Install
Interior cleaning and Application of Simoniz
Custom Dealer made Vinyl piece install to front
(and hopefully scuff plates if they have those in stock)
