how many have swapped oz cluster into es

i just wanted first hand info . do you retain the mileage of the donor car? i have an oportunity ti pick one up a a wrecking yard about ten minutes from my house for $50.50. i dont want it if im gonna assume the donor cars milage. my car only has 520 miles. and when i searched i found info going both ways but a majority was saying that you do lose your mileage. so this is directed at people who have actually done the swap

You will get the mileage that's on the cluster. But for $50, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

We've discussed this before and swapping the clusters and not making note of it if you ever plan to sell the car does transcend a few legal boundaries. Run a search about the topic and I'm sure you'll find the thread as it's not exactly a numerous topic.

for a day me and a local es friend swapped gauges...he wanted to see what it'd be like with a oz gauge...didnt affect anything...his mileage showed up on my gauge cluster and same as mine as onto his...only thing that went back to zero is the trip odo

its not, it is just different. The OX has white faced round gauges, and the es/ls have normal looking black gauges. Many times, people with the ES (such as myself), like the upgraded look of the OZ gauges.... hope that helped

being my car dosent even have 1000 miles on it, i think oz gauges will be an upgrade i will make a few years from now. that way the cluster will show less miles than i actually have.

Sicx13 Why don't you buy the guages and just wait until the mileage approaches to use them.

They don't go bad
