Cool ever heard of a split hood kit?

i was at autoloc.com the other day checking on shaved door handle kits and as i was looking at their product line as well, and i saw a split hood kit, where u can cut the hood down the middle and the hood would open from there, or u can make the cut wherever u want, and i thought this was pretty kool, so i wanted to know if anybody ever heard of this and know wat its all about. additionally, does anybody know a better place to get a shaved door handle kit, and wat kind i should get? i dun plan on using so many channels so so i dun wanna get a 10 channel remote if im just gonna use 6 of them. suggestions please. thanx for any info.......GOd BLess

i think it looks pretty cool...but for car show use only! i wouldnt wanna see a guy cruise down the street...the all of a sudden POP goes the splitted hood...are not easily clamped and when they are pinned...they rattle alot (so says a local shop)

I like the look, but not on a daily driver. If I had a show-only car, I would do that in a heartbeat

now if the whole hood opened to one side....that would be kinda cool. i don't like the split either.

No offense to anyone that has a split hood, but that honestly looks like something you find on a matchbox car. If you asked me i think it looks like ****.

it is a cool gimick for a show car but completely useless for a daily driver. Switching it to a corvette or viper style opening would be unique too but equally as useless.
