I have the CF evo style wing and I been through one car was and it seemed to come out ok. All looks normal.

But when I get my CF hood, no more car washes for me. The wax and soap and everythign getting into the engine I don't like. Just wash it by hand and don't spray directly into the vent.

And by living in FL, I don't have to worry about snow. But I will have to worry about pouring rain here. Not sure what I'll do then.

most vented hood have some sort of plastic cover that you can leave on or take off... but yeah, that'll protect your engine.

Never had any of my car to any car wash. I just car wash them myself. With the vented hood and large spoiler, I don't trust those car wash.

Car Washes are not for Modified Cars...or even nice cars. Powerspray/handwash or don't wash it at all.

don't worry unless you have an aftermarket induction system. I watch our detailers spray the whole engine down with a hose...it dries without a problem... You just have to be careful with electronics...and since the vent isn't close to any electronics...dont worry!
