I'm sure someone here has addressed this, so sorry to the Moderators who might get pissed at me, but, from what I've read the Lancer interiors are pretty much interchangeable, at least, for a certain year range.

My question is, my 04 ES has a horrible Tan/Ash interior that is an absolute nightmare to keep clean, I'd rather something that is entirely gray or black. Now, which car (LS, OZ, Ralliart, or Evo) would have said color scheme? Would it fit my car? Where can I buy these parts? (I've googled, but I must not have the right keywords) Has anyone done this before and what is an approximate TOTAL cost (meaning more or less, is it really worth it?)?

Like I said before, if I'm reviving a dead horse to kill it again, forgive me, I ran a forum search and didn't seem to pull up any specifically relevant data.

you probably want something from an OZ or evo. check local junkyards for the best deals... door panels might be difficult though.

everything should fit just fine... someone correct me if i am wrong. not a lot changes with the cars until the 2008 models (not %100 on the ralliart though). i've got the climate control and radio surround from an evo in my car.

 

Evo door panels would be no go as they have different doors. Just find some ES, OZ, RA panels and you are set.

 

and youre right about the interiors being the same till the 07, ralliart included.

 

okay, so then my question now is, where can I get all these pieces, headliner, door sills, dash, center console, etc.

atilla had a good idea about the junkyards, but the three or four that aren't 6 hours away don't really have a selection of Lancer's for what I need (and if they do they are totaled beyond use or picked clean).

any more suggestions on where to buy would be nice (also, is it hard to strip out the interior and DIY or do I need some 'Pimp my Ride' shop to gut it and rework it all?)

 

Ebay sometimes has dirt cheap parts but it's hit and miss at best.

rear doors won't fit--front doors should and therefore so should the interior parts.

 

You are correct. Sorry I did not specify that it was the rear doors that are different but yes. Most of the front end interior stuff is perfectly useable from the Evo to the Lancer. If you need rear door panels, Evo will not work.
