new project: 2003 es

i got a new car a few months ago, a 2003 lancer es that was completely stock.
after my first car (a 98 toyota startlet) i decided that i would make sure the sound system in this car would be decent...
so with some advice from a mate of mine, i ended up spending bout 1500 on a sound system that completely replaced the existing one (left the existing wiring in there cause i couldnt be bothered trying to remove it all.
took me a while to do it all, but if i hadnt been lazy and had all the stuff it would taken less then a week. i didnt take any pics along the way (sorry) but the end result is awesome.

its pretty much a jbl sound system with the exception of the deck which is sony. the 4 speakers in the car are where the factory ones would be, so you cant see them. these are hooked up to an amp which is underneath the passengers seat. oh and i placed the tweeters on the inside of where the side mirrors are.
and as you can see in the pic above, i have 2 jbl 12 inch subs, hooked up to a jbl monoblock amp that as you can see, lights up, this is why you can actually see it. i put it behind a 'wall' but i thought it looked cool so made a little window in it

Now i plan on working on a few upgrades to my car, still working on what, but at this stage im thinking a front strut bar, cold air intake, new headers and a catback exhaust, let me know what you think, look forward to suggestions

on another note, if you want any specific pics, just ask and i'll see about posting them. however i dont have a camera and thats why i dont have any pics of them at the moment, lol. i really should get a camera instead of spending money on my car.... nah

Looks professionally done, nice. And you still have trunk space which is a plus. Good job.

I suggest you start by reading the FAQ in my sig, it'll steer you in the right direction as far as upgrades are concerned.

i hate where the antenna is, i would love to get a short one like the evos have, and then a vortex generator, but i dont think i can get rid of the current one. well, not without screwing up the radio. im gonna look into it though.
and pics of intake, sorry not a lot

that pic was taken little while back and the 2 below just other day when i installed it, only took bout 30 minutes, hardest bit was putting in the long pipe

however, due to the way my front bumper is, i had to alter it slightly, but i decided to go with a blue diamond mesh (the air intake takes air from below where the headlight is, and that used to have no air getting to it)

Oh and i just ordered myself some new spark plugs and wires, i will let you know how they go, they are ngk bkr5eix-11. http://www.sparkplugs.com/ is a handy place to go to find what you need
i tried to get me some me96 wires but with no luck, so have opted for a brand called 'top gun', dunno much about them, but every store within a 30 minute radius has them, so i decided to get that, its still a performance part, and claim to work well even under high temp, so will see how they go, cost about the same as it would for me to get the ngk me96.
