Finally done painting wheels...

So after a very long time (2 months) of having my wheels painted white... I finally got off my lazy *** and bought some red touch up paint to do the mitsubishi symbols on the center wheel caps.

I must say.... I think this tiny colour accent makes a HUGE difference in visual appeal. It's sexy...

However, on the downside... don't use a touch up brush... go for the spray. the area to be painted is large enough that you likely won't have a nice even coat if you brush it. also... if you do choose to brush.. beware of the paint dripping off the brush... i thought i got rid of the excess.. but no.. i didnt.. and my front driver side wheel paid the price..

Anyways, here it is..

The white/blue contrast looks quite nice.

for trying something different than the standard gunmetal/bronze/black thing

i havn't washed my car in over a month and it's been raining on and off. So what you see in the pictures is over a month of time to get dirty in the rain and such.

here is a comparison photo. these wheels are clean. the lighting is a bit different as you can see.. but the wheels don't look significantly whiter.

+1 on the red mitsu emblem. I did that to my stock RA rims and for some reason a good amount of people commented on them, didnt seem like a big deal to me but I guess people DO notice them. However, i recently painted my entire rim bronze, so I no longer have the red emblem in the middle.

Just wondering.. has anyone with white wheels ever try using white vinyl to cover the front piece, the chrome piece, and the lower middle lip? lol.. I seriously want to see how that looks with white wheels...
