What spray paint?
Does anyone know a type of paint that would match the Munich Silver color? I see the paint code is A69 or whatever but I can't find that type at like Pep Boys or anything. Does anyone know of a spray paint at Pep Boys that matches the silver? What brand and color?
Kareem did his eyelids with the stuff... just cant remember the brand. Im pretty sure he got it at Auto Zone... but I know my local WalMart carries it. Anyone else remember the name????

I bought a Plastic-kote silver mettalic which is FM8132 (which is I think for Ford), it seems a little dark though when I spray it. Just wondering about a different color that matches it?
Just if you are interested. I am spraying the sides of my CF Evo wing. I already have primer and clear coat, just the hard part of finding the right color. Kareem! Where are you! I need the kind of paint!

He bought it at AutoZone
I think it was Duricolor or something like that
He's in Europe right now!!!! PM him - he'll be able to tell you!

Doing this yourself isnt so hard, just 5 minutes to remove the peices you wanna paint. Another 5 minutes to remove or mask off the accessories from the peices u wanna paint (i.e. the mirror control is removed, the vents and whole thing in the middle of that long trim is removed...etc.). Lay down some garbage bags or newspaper. Paint away! U gotta paint nice and evenly applying a layer every 15-30 mins. After a sufficient amount of layers, you start putting clearcoats on to protect it. Clearcoat also gives it a high gloss and makes it look nice and shiney. I had so much fun doing this and I am gonna do it again to some more dash peices later on (maybe even today).
One word of advice if you're gonna do this... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH PAINT!!!! I ran outta paint in the middle of applying my layers. I had to drive my poor ripped up Lancer to Autozone and get more paint.

i went to Canadian Tire here in Canada, and got me these already prepared sprays for import cars.
i couldn't find one for the lancer (too new i think) but u'll notice that the munich silver is light as hell. all silvers u find will be much too dark, the lightest one i found was "Sunshine Silver" for the Mazda protege.
hope this helps.

Hellraiser, thanks woman. I'll go look at Dupli-color. Hopefully I can find it.

I like a girl who knows automotive stuff.
Oh and I'll just use the same thread to post a new question:
Does anyone know anything about painting cf? I don't know if it should be sanded first or what? I will also use a primer so that might stick then just paint it with the color.

When I take a close look at the wing, there looks like there is some sort of extra plastic or something coating over it. I could be wrong though. So I'm just going to try the primer and then color. If that doesn't work, I could always sand it. But I didn;t want to sand it if I don't have to.
