I used what a lot of people recommended on this forum - Plasti Dip. It's a paint-like material in a spray can that can be peeled off after drying on a non-glossy surface. The can cost me $18, but might be cheaper for you guys in the States.
Two new photos. White is mine. Blue is a friend's new '11 Sportback.
We washed and waxed his car. Mine was left alone, so it's kinda dirty

alright thanks man...i just did mine yesterday and it looks great...someone told me u have to wet sand the bumper first but i just cleaned it and taped it off. but when peeling the tape off the edges of the plasti dip started to come with it. i tried to cut away as good as i could
What I did was set a layer that taped off the entire front. Then I added a second small area of tape around the edges of the bumper. After each coat, I would peel the second layer 1 minute after spraying so that I wouldnt have to cut or peel.
