Today I got my car back, just installed the ACCOLADE spec-r bumper and the APR GTC carbon fiber wing.

You must have a really good eye or a sixth sense.

 

I think they meant the second picture. The rear looks a little off. Could be because of the camera and the way the lighting is. I'm sure the people who painted it got the right paint/code.

 

The color looks the same as the trunk, so they must have painted the trunk as well

Either way, it looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of those type of wings but it looks good on your car.

Not exactly. If you look real close at the trunk and rear bumper it looks as if the rear is shiny and a more white color. The trunk looks kinda creamy, but again we need to see the car in person to know for sure. Lol and ask the people if they eyeballed it and just painted it.

 

Oh the first picture? You said second picture.
The trunk must be dirty or dusty because you can see fingerprints towards the bottom.
I doubt the shop is going to do a crappy paint job on such a sexy car. If they did then demand you money back and a free paint job!

 

I must applaud you OZ Rally. Very good observation. The shop didn't do a crappy job, but they were lazy. A real painter knows that you must remove the bumper to do the whole paint job. They obviously taped up and covered the trunk and just painted through. I know MAACO does that for a fact. Tape/Sand/Paint/Buff. Easiest money they ever made lol. I could be wrong though.

 

I think you're right about MAACO because I have heard some horror stories about them. Sorry for hijacking your thread Alex, this topic is just interesting

 

Lol yeah its the SIXTH SENSE. Its all interesting especially that thread about the VG being off fitment cause the EVO X roof is more "curvy". Usually after being painted and its dry/buffed. It should be hand washed and cleaned. Never give a customer back a dirty car.

 

actually, the color is ok, I took these 2 pics with my cellphone (bad quality). tomorrow I will take more with my DC. Then you can see the color.

 

Lol. On tuesday I left my new bumper in the bodyshop for painting, and drive my car home. Yesterday, they called me and said the bumper is finished painting and ready for install, so I drove my car to the bodyshop and left it there, they did the installation last night, but there were some fitment problems, but they figured it out. This afternoon I went to the bodyshop and pick it up. The reason why the trunk does not look as shiny as the bumper is that they just clean the bumper area, and the trunk is so dirty, I haven't washed my car since september.

Yes, you're right, dude! I totally agree "A bodyshop should never give a dirty car back to a customer". When I took this picture, it was not finished, because the exhaust and the bumper were so closed, they are afraid of the exhaust might melt the bumper. Actually they washed my car after everything is done
