Yellow Gauge Housing

uhmm couple weeks ago i redid my cluster housing and made it yellow... before that i had yellow faces which apparanetly started to warp due to the high heat in my area... so i took them out and did my housing instead.. heres a pic..

also ... i some subs in the back and it need some breathing room so i ported my back seat to simulate it as the trunk being an entire box.. came out pretty nice i must say =D

We've got some pretty similar ideas vietxscapeD. I've been thinking of doing something similar with my rear arm rest. Instead of venting the trunk mine will be housing subs.

That picture gives me a pretty goo idea of how it will looks.

I hope mine will look kinda like that. Still not sure if 2 subs will fit in there.

BTW, you did a pretty good job. Could you take a wider picture of you gauges, where we could see the wheel and surrounding?

The arm rest is 8", and the kickers are 7.8". I might have to get some sewing done. I still have to figure some parts out As soon as I get a job and some money, that's what I'm doing. If it doesn't work, I've got my custom built box sitting in the basement waiting for some pouding

hmm ... housing those subs ...uhmm.. im not sure they would hit correctly though?.. u'd need a box behind there or something.. its like i dunno how to explain it. its just the way the subs are enclosed or something? it might sound okay but u wont get full potential of the subs if they're mounted like that =D

There would be a box behind. Those kickers only need half a cubic foot to shell out good bumps. Having the subs like that would give me some more room in the trunk. 1/2 cubic foot box is not really heavy so it could be attached to the seat, and I would still be able to fold it down.

The front of the arm rest is 8" wide. The box would be 10". So 1 " on both side of the arm rest(from behind), and the 8"X8"(kicker), would (should) fit perfectly in front.

Of course, the arm rest would be permanently folded down when driving but folded back up when parked.

That is all therory though. Can't wait to see if it really works
