08 GTS Custom Door Panel Re-Trim

Hi all,
Haven't had my GTS very long but i kinda thought the door panels looked dull... so i've made an attempt at trimming them in leather, i'm not a pro, never tried this in my life! I made the mistake of picking the wrong guys to trim my last car and the leather all started wrinkling and sagging. So it's one of these, if you wanna job done right... do it yourself.

Stock doors bevel inwards with armrest, but decided to pad the entire door insert so that it looks more plush

Might not been everyones taste but i think it turned out pretty good, more pictures when i get this door and the other one i have nearly finished, on the car.

James.

i can't really say that i'm a fan of the look (i think it looks a little too 'cadillac-ish'), but props on the work.

Looks kinda old and it doesn't match the "dynamic" theme of the car. But you did a good job I just don't like the idea so much.

hi again,
bit mixed views i see To be honest looking back at the quick photo i took i think it's a pretty bad photo and doesn't do it justice... it makes it look like the padding sticks out a whole lot when it actually doesn't. All the shine and forced reflections do make it look cheap etc. Maybe you'd like to see some more when i take some later?

Thanks for the comments and honesty though

what i would like to see is some black suede or alcantara with white accent stitching stretched across the acre of black plastic that mitsu called a 'dash-board' on our cars. you know, like aston martin dbs style.

Hi again,

That was a pretty shoddy picture, sorry bout that! Took some more this time that turned out more like seeing the door in person. Still might not be to everyones style of course but looks how it was intended to look now in these photos

Not to bad looking. Might have went with a different color like a gunmetal color to make it stand out a little more.
