how i can make my lancer look like evo?
This domolution guy is a fool. Hes been a member since feb 6 2009 and has made over 60 posts. he obviously got tired of driving his evo and decided to spend his time posting in the lancer forum.
get a life and go drive your evo .
ALso i have to admit the title of this thread was stupid. theres a difference in trying to make your lancer look bETTER and trying to make it look like an evo. the title of this thread should have been, "what aftermarket parts are available to change the look of my lancer" something like that. I understand where all the heat came from but seriously just let people do what they want to.
I honestly think evo owners are so easily ticked off by lancers that look good and look like evos because it doesnt take much to make a Lancer LOOK like an evo, some might see this as "posing" or whatever but hey the evo looks badass and theres nothing wrong with wanting a car that looks good.
I think this debate/battle has been going on since lancers/evos have been around its not going to be solved here, just let people do what they do, people with evos you have a faster awd, already better looking car, you shouldnt have to come here in the LANCER forums to make yourself feel better.
now go along and play in the Evo X forums

It's his car and his money to spend so really he doesn't have to listen to the people that discourage him not to make his car look like an evo. I feel like when people try to make there cars look like some other car that its not that much of a bad thing. People say that oh since your car will look like an evo when people race you, you'll make us look bad. I don't know about you guys but not all cars that do conversions race. Also I don't see why the evo guys have to look down on the lancers. I wonder if its the same kind of feelings towards Sti's to wrx's. It just sucks that just because somebody couldn't man up and pull the big $ to get an evo that he gets push around by guys that spent an extra thousands of dollars to get such a great car. Yes the evo is an awesome car, but seriously not everyone can straight out buy one. I myself have a regular lancer and yes my car does look sorta of like an evo. Do I race? no. Do I tell people my car is an evo? no. I do roll up to car meets though and see evo guys all the time and most of the time they tell me that my car looks sick and they appreciate that they have a fellow MITSU driver (not an evo poser) that's into cars compared to a poser evo. I just don't understand why people think just because he wants to do a conversion that he's supposedly going to start racing and give evos a bad name when probably his intent is just to make his car look like a dream car. It's funny how his positive attitude about changing looks on his car makes some evo guys go crazy. You guys swear like you guys are doing the good deed by passing on that the evo is better than the lancer which of course is a proven in some aspects which are obvious that every lancer and evo owner knows.
And to the OP, it's all well and good if you want to look like an Evo, but just know you'll never be as satisfied as you would if you went all out. And also know that there are so many things you can do to your lancer to make it look amazing without trying to imitate an Evo. Just know that there are other options

they have evo conversion body kits for a decent price. As far as power goes, get a turbo kit from RRM. It's the only way you're gonna get a decent amount of power out of your lancer.
If you are on a budget (which i suspect you are)
then pick up some light mods, eg. intake, exhaust, and may some lowering springs to get a more aggressive look.
Also you could pick up an Evo hood and Spoiler

I used to be a lancer owner btw. And I've posted many a thread similar to this. I think I've earned the right to joke around every now and again.
just go buy the parts and save threads like this. People will always hate/bash...I actually think it's pretty dumb when I see lancers impersonating evo's. I have yet to see one that is not riced out with finishing autozone speed part touches. ALso, they always tend to be weirdo kids for another strange reason ...

I pay $120 for insurance for three cars(including my fiance's) full coverage on all 3, and im only 25, prolly drive on the same freeways you do...

but also btw.... I'm gonna go ahead and say when I hit the track.... The amount I pay for insurance is well worth the awd, legendary 4g63 with tasteful mods and great suspension. why does everyone talk sh*t to defend thier purchase? lol just dont tell people how to spend their money cause we dont all think the same... some are conservatives and others live like they could be missing out. everyone just shut the frig up haha Maybe some people truely cant afford it. OP, theres TONS of options for you to choose from. would the evo X lip kits or whatever fit on there? the wing would and maybe some rims with lots of spokes to hide the fact it doesnt have brembos.
