I always wondered how hard would it be to make a replica like that out of my evo 9, I even saw some original WRC bumpers for sale on ebay UK once, I am in love with that car (I even started to like the UGLY wing haha) I also wished there were info/pics on the conversion.
Good find

^^thanks dood.

yeah, i was wondering how the actual WRC one was built cuz the rear end looks like a regular lancer's. did they start with a regular lancer's body before turning it into a rally car?

I've been looking for the fenders, bumpers, hood and headlights and I can't find any of them anywhere. If anyone knows where you can buy them let me know.

the WRC is built off a standard lancer with a evo-esque powertrain, and of course a complete revamp of the body and such.

I thought the rear looked a bit off in that, but I see they're not all the same.

Check the flared rear fenders where they meet the taillights.

That grill and headlights look like the one on my car . The headlights look like JDm headlights with a cover on them . You can see the high beam , low beam and blinker just like the jdm ones .

lol ya.. always thought that would be the coolest street car if it was in normal colors and without the decals..

if i could find that wing, i would be happy. It would be an ugly car, but completely race inspired

ya it was called a Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 200, basically a lancer shell, evo motor 'tranversely mounted', custom suspension, custom drivetrain.. lancer heart, evo soul, rest was all race built.

motor looked like it was clocked towards the firewall about 30degrees.. looks really akward, the real race cars always have alot into them.

if i remember right they built 20. but i forget now, i saw 1 with all the body pannels off a little over a year ago, definately one sick car, origonal design was made off an american lancer shell before they were even put into the markey (early 01)

if i could only find someone that makes that wing, i would rock it on my car.
