I got my fuel rail today. Here are some pics. It came with an HKS emblem to put on it. I don't know if its an official one or not.

I've also got my radiator and spark plug coils ordered. I should have all my parts in the next 2 weeks.

Lol why is the fuel rail pinkish/purple? That's kind of an odd color for a big bore fuel rail heh

Hey my car is misfiring so i'm probably going to replace the plugs/coils/wires. I'm just wondering where you're getting yours from and if there's really any difference in going with an aftermarket brand or OEM from Mitsu?

Yeah, its purple. I believe all or at least most of HKS fuel rails are this color. I looked on ebay and all the ones for the evo are purple. I am waiting to find out myself if upgrading the coil packs and wires will be better. I found some 4g64 00-05 Eclipse spark plug wires by Magnacore that I going to try out with my OBX coil packs. I'll let everyone know how well this works out. I put new plugs in it about 1 year ago and shouldn't need to replace those for the tune up.

Coming along nicely, here's a few things I would do:

Black out the grill
Get rid of the chrome license plate frames
Get rid of the racing seat belts, you don't have racing seats, you don't do any high speed racing, you have airbags
Debadge the trunk, would look a lot better with the Evo wing
Get a different catback exhaust, they aren't all loud and that one looks ricey

Keep up the good work, the CF hood should look great. Try not to focus too much on power mods such as full exhaust and such, you won't gain much from them. Suspension might be something to look into next to make the car more enjoyable.

1. I will be getting the Black ralliart grill off of a Cedia wagon. The very pretty one.
2. Yes, the chrome frames are going too. My old lady switched them over from her last car and I haven't found some good ones to replace it? Ralliart or any suggestions? My last Ralliart ones where fake and the black faded quick
3. I plan to get some evo recaros soon. I had these belts in my 01 Mirage back in 2004 with racing seats, I put them in my Eclipse in 2006 with racing seats. I don't want them to sit in the basement and get musty like what was going to happen when I sold the eclipse.
4. I don't know about debadging it. I kinda like the OZ Rally on it. I did take the dealer one off though. This I may still consider. But I just think debadging looks boring.
5. How does mine look ricey? Its a stock Evo muffler. Flows a 289hp evo motor, should leave plenty of room for my 120hp slow motor, which I am working on. I got it to be a high flow muffler without getting tons of tickets for being loud. Also, around here, it looks non stock = ticket. Doesn't have to be loud. I figure even with my headers and obx high flow cat, it should stay quite. I have to drive by a court house and sheiffs office everyday to work, I really don't need the attention, the hood and the car being red will do that enough.

Thanks for the comments.

Here is a few pics of the look I am looking for with the Black Ralliart Grill on my CF hood and Cedia wagon Front Bumper

Update. My OBX spark plug coils came in today. I installed those in about 5 min. They seem to run great. Apparently, my 03 has a misfire problem. After I installed these, the sound it makes from about 3000 to 5000 rpms in 1st and 2nd has gone away. I really hadn't noticed a difference with these, but they did solve one problem I had. Heres a pic.

Currently on order
4g93 intake manifold and TB
RRM V2 piggyback
RRM silver front x and rear silver strut bars
Mitsumoto radiator and 12 inch slim fans
Header and obx high flow cat
Magnacore spark plug wires
CF vis evo hood

Those headlights look good and I think a Cedia grille is a great idea.

Not so sure that a new fuel rail is a good idea though, and I'm very suspect of anything OBX - but if they're working for you then all's good i guess.

How are you liking your Pioneer radio? I have the same model and it was always very sometimey on me, especially bluetooth, now its totally crapped out on me.

The pioneer is working great. I just keep my HDD hooked to it for my music. I have been the same way about OBX, but sometimes, they are the only one who makes parts for the 4g93/94. The coils seem great so far, but I've only put 12 miles on them. The fuel rail is HKS or knockoff. Either way, it looks very well made and has fittings to easily change to braided fuel lines. Its huge on the inside compaired to stock. Possibly bigger than the one RRM modifies.

See that's what happened to me... had the stock exhaust on and it just started to hesitate and then I put my cat-back on and I could audibly hear the misfire...then about 3 weeks of driving the SES light finally came on with misfire on cylinder 2 code.

Anyway the coil packs look nice. Can't wait to see all the new stuff after you put it on!

Keep up the good work!

thanks, I didn't notice the misfire until after I put on the evo muffler. I hope that was the problem and its fixed. Recommend I use some fuel injector cleaner since I had the problem?

Yeah that would be a good first step, it was the first thing I did but it only helped for a little bit and then I took the spark plugs out and found some arcing. I switched the coil packs and the SES light went out the next day... still had the hesitation but I guess the computer decided it wasn't happening often enough to throw a code. Gumout is the product I used as it was recommended to me by my shop manager.

The SES light actually came on again today...stayed on all day. I went to the parts store to pick up coil packs and plugs and such... then as soon as I started it in the parking lot I noticed the light turned off. UGH! Sigh.

Anyhow I'll let you know what happens after I do the repairs.
