Looking for new rims
Looking for new rims
i have these right now. Tenzo Shu-4 18x7 4x100/4x114.3 and im looking to get some 17s cause these rims keep denting and the ride is ok. And i need some opinions on what will flow good with this car. id really appriciate it.

maybe you should change your color sceme up a little bit.. the OZ Alleggerita in 17s look really nice, and there really lite. ANY color would look good, i would suggest gold or silver to change it up a bit from the black.

AND the Ultraleggera have always been my favorite with that body kit you have..

so you got the new Alleggerita that OZ just released, and the old school Ultraleggera, Both very well made wheels by OZ. both in a 17 inch or even an 18 inch (might need spacers) would look awsome on your car
i would suggest a 205/45 on 17s or even a 215/45 tire. to reduce the chances of denting them on pot holes and stuff.. 18s your kinda limited on tire choice but staying with a 215/40 or larger is ideal.

OZ rims are notoriously strong. buddy of mine slid on some black ice last year and the entire side of the car was totally messed up. All endlinks broken and axles too, bent control arms all that good stuff. Other than some rim rash the wheels were fine, no denting or breaks. I was very surprised.
OZ rims as well as many other rim manufacturers have all race proven rims then use a high grade forging process to make all there wheels. its the same process used to make most every race cars wheels that are made to withstand tons of heat and abuse. definately a good rim choice for the street, you shouldnt run into nearly as many issues with these as you will with others.
people who had used crappy cast made rims, and have broken, or dented them badly.. learn the hard way, that well made wheels can go a VERY long way.
I will always suggest OZ / Enkei Racing / Kosei / Volk / SSR / & Gram light... the list goes on and on, but some companies will charge an arm and a leg for there rims, thats why i dont have Advan and a few others on that list that are pretty popular with Evo owners.. but there just as good if not better.
