Lancer OZ with Evo Exterior + 4g63T+RWD

So I figured it is about time I did a build thread on this board. Been reluctant since I dont want it to be just a bunch of flamers posting, telling me I should of just bought a evo.. ect.. but at this point in the build, there is enough technical info I can provide to anyone interested. At the end of the day, I could of bought many different cars with the money spent and going to spend, but regardless this is something I've wanted to do and will see it done.

The car started out as a wrecked stock 03 lancer oz. I picked it up dirt cheap and started the project. You can see from the pics the progress over the past few months.
To date I finally acquired a outlander awd gas tank + a full outlander awd rear subframe assembly with rear diff, axles, k frame, trailing arms ect..

The plan is to mate a 4g63t engine from the 1st gen eclipse talon to a supra transmission with a custom bellhousing(in delivery) connected to a custom driveshaft.

The front subframe and steering rack will all be custom fit and modified, since the engine/oil pan will be now sitting through the middle of where they used to be.

Obviously the firewall and trans tunnel will need to be modified to accept the new drivetrain which will be taken care of in the next couple of months.

In a few days I should have some updated pictures of hopefully the outlander rear end at least test fitted before we mount it up to the lancer body. Right now its a slow process of measuring, and cutting out all the old rear suspension mounts and whatnot. Maybe have to adjust the trunk floor as well. We'll see in time.

PICS

First got the car, with evo doors mounted (in blue)

The whole right side was pushed in almost half a foot lol

Here is the left side which is fine but you can see the difference of how much wider the evo door is between that and the stock lancer quarter panel.

test fitting evo quarters & tails

Rear bumper wing, skirts, fenders, headlights, and front bumper test fitted

few shots of the engine bay for now... soon the engine is getting removed and bay is getting shaved and ready for rwd you can also see the custom crash beam fitted for the front bumper

Evo hood latch was purchased and needed to be adjusted to latch with evo hood.

quarter panels have finally been welded to the body as final fitment is made.

Car in primer.. starting to look good.

More updates coming soon
