What exhaust setup RU running

Right now I have the rrm header rrm test pipe and an obx muffler. I know the muffler is the problem it sounds bad. Is anyone out there running the same setup with a different muffler or exhaust? If so please let me know what kind and how it sounds. I am leaning towords the rrm axle back. Thanks
Ryan

yes, get the RRM axleback. If Im not mistaken - its made by MagnaFlow... thats the same one I have. You wont regret it... it'll make your lancer purr.....

Any time you add a header, you'll start getting that high pitch exhaust since you're removing such a restrictive section in the exhaust chain - the stock manifold.

I used to run an RPW header/downpipe, RRM testpipe, and RMR axleback. Sounded like butt.

So I put the 2nd cat back in and it sounded more bearable.

Now I'm running 2.5" catback piping (JIC-Magic) and it sounds DEEP. I'm curious to see what adding a 2.5" highflow cat will do. Hopefully it will keep, if not increase, the depth of the exhaust note.

Thanks for the input so far. I am still leaning towords the rrm axle back the greddy is just to expensive. I talked to rrm to day and they said the magna flow would deepen the tone.

Right now I am just running cat back flowmaster exhaust but soon I will be running RRM turbo, header, test pipe and I will be able to let you know how it is. You are cool with the RRM axle back. It is made by magnaflow and they have a good sound to them. The more you free your exhaust up the more it sounds like a rice rocket (high pitch sound) which sucks but you have more power which is always good. I am going to put up with the sound for the power though.

the greddy is really expensive, but them and apexi make the best exhaust systems in my oppinion, I always say "you get what you pay for."

Higher pitch, louder also. Ask engineerboy as he is running that exact setup.
