i got some altezzas from matrix racing recently on ebay. i got the ones that look like the lights that road/race sells. i was wondering if anyone else that has ordered the lights had problems with them fogging up, fittament,ect...

anyway the lights say sae/dot.......on the lens so i assume their legal to have.
on a related note a day before my lights arrived i got to see some tyc altezzas on a lancer in person and they look good as well.

 

i have them on my car, pics soon, they dont fog up ever for me fit pretty well, the sides of them that curl around the fender kinda stick out a lil but it was nothing a little double sided 3m tape didn't fix lol mine are the cf ones though

 

Run a search for TYC and tails or altezzas or something. They posted an apology, contact info and a way to get a little "kit" to fix fitment problems.

check out this thread. They send new bolts and ****.. u gota get behind the lights and put bolts and **** on..send a email to get the kit and it comes with instructions

 

I have those lights in the first post - no problems. Fit perfect and no leakage. I also got them off ebay...

 

Question. What's the difference in quality between the TYC elegente tails vs the ROAD RACE tails? The rrm altezzas look almost exactly like the EVO 8's taillights. but quality wise? leaking? fogging? fitment? i'm not sure which to get.

 

i was just about to start a post on this. Matrixracing sucks! first off the tail lights are the look alikes of the ones rrm sells, which is good, but only one red light works. the other is dead, no bulb at all. next the passenger side one leaked, ok so they straightened it out and replaced it for me. good business, not so bad, but the new has problems because first the brake light went out, turnsd out it was just loose. but the problem happened again today, i step on the brake, no light, but when i turn on the lights and headlights, it works. strange? im sick of this **** and am pissed i didn't with rrm for a couple more bucks. maybe i can get rid of these on ebay, otherwise i just wasted money. thanks a ****ing lot...unless any of you cool *** people have some info that can me?

 

soyry to hear of your expeirience with them, thats why i started this thread. things like that usaully happen to me so ill let you guys know if my tails fall apart anytime soon.
anyway the first part which is getting them and installing them went great.
i got my lights within 4 days of ordering them(although i didnt get the tracking number i was promised).and i almost forgot to mention that they were very meticuloius abot their packing. there was no way in hell my lights were gonna get damaged in transit. i like things like that.
they fitt verry well and have no gaps or anything like that.
i was crossing my fingers when i bought these lights cuz i did a search about them beforehand.
and i was thinking these lights may be the same ones rrm sells cuz i know rmm only sells DOT approved lights and mine have the dot stamp.
and as for haveing a dead light with no bulb? mine does not have that . every thing on my tails is fuctional and their kinda like evo knockoffs everything fuctions the same
