Please help me with TYC Taillights!

Hey guys, I got my TYC taillights in, but I seem to be the only person having a little problem with installing them. I took my stock lamps off, plugged in the new ones, and attempted to put the lights into the slot. It seems like they fit, but, for some reason, the lamp itself isn't going into place with the little snappy things that go into the holes. So whenever I tighten the screws up for the new lamps, the tail end of the light(on the side of the car kind of) sticks out quite a bit. I keep trying to get the things to clip in, but it's not working for me? Anyone have any recommendations on what I should use or attempt to do or buy? I like the look of the lights, but would like them to fit right before I went ahead and screwed them in. And yes, I did try over and over to fiddle with the lights to make it work but it all leads to the same conclusion, unfortunately. Someone please help me out if possible, are there supposed to be anything on the holes itself on the car, like clip grabbers or anything. This problem is very hard to understand, so I am sorry if anyone found this confusing, but thanks in advance for all the help!

Take some pics of where the problem is. Should help those of us out that are trying to visualize your problem.

this is left tail lamp slot on car. I think I am missing those yellow/white little pluggy things that go in the 2 holes on the left, so I put the other sides things into this side and then installed the tail lamp with the same result, pictures below.

Is there supposed to be anything on the tail lamps themselves? Like any plug things or extra clip supporters? Because the only thing I can think about is it's not staying in the hole in the car, so when I tighten it, it's just coming out?

In that last pic, is that the side of your car or the trunk?

Hmm... Did you try installing the lights with that corner in first? I know I had a little bit of trouble when I took my rear assemblies out to swap bulbs. I stuck that corner in first (the one sticking out in the last pic).

I didnt try that, I tried going straight in, then once it looked like it was snug, I tightened screws and that side came out, happens every time, I think I am just going to go to Mitsu and get someone to help me with those plugs/clips.
