Lancer Fog/Driving Lights
Shipping from Australia really doesn't take as long as you'd think. Even their normal mail would get here in a day or two. Some countries just do that stuff right and Australia is one of them.

Are they supposed to be projector fogs, cause thats "kinda" what they look like, cept the lense looks like its a diffuser... kinda odd... hope they fit..would hate to see people get ripped by a company that might not know as much as they think they do
I would be very interested to see if these work out and fit well. I have always wished we had a set of fog light that would fit in that slot. Also what is nice is that the mounting unit that comes with this would not seal up that vent, making it good for those of us with CAI that are right there (more cold air right where you need it). Lets see some pictures as soon as you can get them up.

OK, I heard back on the price of shipping from Burg Designs. I paid $158.62 for the lamp kit and shipping came out to $48.40 from Australia to California. I was told I might need a universal wiring harness, but they included that in the kit at no extra cost. Now starts the wait for them to get here. The prices are already converted from Australian dollars to US dollars.

Not sure about the duty fees. I brought over a grill from japan though and forgot about the duty fees, either they were already figured in or for some reason didn't get charged. Also, neilscully thanks for the info on shipping times from Australia to the US - I didn't realize things would actually move with some speed.
Sometimes the duty is already figured in and paid by the shipper and sometimes, you get the bill later on.......that sucks. Shipping is usually pretty fast, I think most of the big companies ship from there. I received some stuff from there and it took about 3-4 days to PA......sometimes your stuff might get held over in customs and thenit may be a wait.

Hopefully I won't have to deal with customs. That's why I never really worked on my Jetta, most of the really good parts had to be imported and did go through customs.

Okay, I'm still waiting on the kit. It should get here sometime next week, I'm guessing by Thursday. I'll install one and try to post some pics so that you guys can see what it looks like. Couple of opinion questions though. I have some crappy little fogs in now that are coming out when the new kit gets here, they are wired into my headlamps. I was thinking of keeping the switch for the new set. Also, I was thinking of cutting some mesh to fit either behind or in front of the lamp bracket, which to you think would look better?

I think behind would be easier than putting the mesh in front because of the brackets. I just think the lack of mesh kind of sucks - you can see one of your fluid reservoirs on the passenger side without the fake Mitsu black mesh and I don't know how well the lamps will block the hole.

I'm hoping to get them later this week - I ordered Thursday in Australia, so I'm guessing they should arrive by the end of the week. Also, any color suggestions for the mesh? I'm doing a black and red scheme with the rest of the car, including some graphics that I need to order. But I was leaning towards black for the mesh.

Okay, the lamps arrived yesterday. At first glance the grayish looking frames don't fit - they are real close, but if they fit on the outside like I think they're supposed to, they won't go on. The lights themselves though look like they will screw in just fine from behind the front bumper. I'll have to either take a wheel off to test fit it, or have the front bumper taken off - that's what the directions call for. The metal bracket might need a new hole or two, but I won't know for sure until I'm done with midterms and get a chance to try it. Maybe I'll take it into one of the local shops to get it done, as the switch that comes with the kit is ghetto booty large and I want a smaller one, plus I need to remove my old lights. I'll keep you all posted as I find things out.

I just remembered - where would be a good place to get some quality mesh? I'm going to cut the center out to stick the lamp through, so it kind of looks more like the small round fogs from Creative. Probably spray the mesh black. I'd rather just reuse the plastic crap, but I think cutting that might be more trouble than it's worth, plus I'm not sure the light would sit forward enough. Any thoughts on that?
don't take off your bumper, theres no need.
pull out the clips on the splash sheild in front of the tire and you should be able to access the fog light area without a problem, just had mine apart last week
