Fiberglass? urethane? Winter? Ummmm
So I live in Northern Indiana. we have this crazy thing called "lake effect weather" where storms go over Lake Michigan and come off the lake all strong and looking to dump mass amounts of snow on my car, forcing me to run outside the next morning and start frantically digging snow off it like a mother whose child was just burried alive. Now that that lovely analogy has been presented, my question is will fiberglass hold up to the cold (it gets into the negative double digits here). I know urethane would, but only Accolade makes the urethane kit and I don't liek the holes above the headlights. Hopefully when we see the kit on a car, those will be fixed. The Importrenz one looks nice, but it's fiberglass. Suggestions? Help! Please. Thanks for reading my incredibly long post that only had about 1 line of actual question in it.
Since you actually never say, Im assuming you are talking about the Evo VII kit? I wouldnt go fiberglass... I live in Central Oregon and we do see quite a bit of snow. Our winters usually stay above 0 degrees, but I've still had freinds who have had bad things happen to their fiberglass. Not that it will crack (it may if it gets THAT COLD), but it weakens so if you bump something it may shatter. I'd stay away from straight foberglass kits If I were you...
yeah
Yeah, and I'd have to remove that front safety bumper too meaning I'd have cold fiberglass, no safety bumper, driving on icy roads...bad combo. As soon as I see the Accolade Evo VII kit actrually on someone car, not acolade's, I'll be convinced. Then I have to get the rest of the cash...
i live in newengland and i know a few guys that have broke/craked there kits buy drivng on a not so well ploed road and having a tall snow drift in bettween the tire marks you know what i mean, well when that turns to ice and you car is so low you start mowing it down its all down hill from there

everything SHOULD be ok. my buddy has a fiberglass bodykit on his 98 corolla, and its holding up good. its been through 3 winters already and the bumper is good as new. i think you just have to be careful with high snow/ice piles on the road, and you should be alright.
