i currently own a lancer es model with the disgusting grey interior and dash, and i really need to get rid of that grey burl wood trim that tries to make my car look sophisticated and expensive. i was orinally going to buy a dash kit, but i hate how certain parts of the kit look on the grey dash and i don't feel that its worth $250 for something i wont really like; however, my friends father owns a custom shop in BK and he can get me custom paints and i was considering either a chamleon: copper to green, or blue to green to purple, or a black with silver sparkle to it. i am leaning toward the copper to green, but i just need a second opinion, what do you guys think?

 

Not sure what color your car is, but match it to the outside of your car or soething. Mine is silver so I painted mine silver. IT came out good with silver not sure how it would look with other colors. Silver kinda matches the interior.

 

Yea i think that looks really great, but i have a thunder grey lancer, so not too sure if i want to just match the paints, but not a bad idea.....i wish they sold replacements for our dash pieces because thats another reason i dont want to buy one of those kits because they are all stick on.

 

I've seen carbon fiber replacement pieces on ebay.... they went for like $200. what a rip off... I mean, its nice and worth the money if you have it to burn. I have a thunder grey lancer es with the grey interior like yourself... Im toying with either painting it silver or a bright blue. I may paint it blue first and if I dont like it, go with the silver...

 

hey pumpdog - howd you get your window controll panel off your doors? did you have to bust open the door? let me know, I've been thinking of painting those too

 

where did you get the paint for your dash? You might also what to invest in a sway bar and strut before you attack your interior.
Just a thought.....

Since the grey is a neutral color, you could pretty much go with any color under the sun and it should look pretty nice... cept maybe black
