Question Looking for a fog lamp switch

Really stupid question - does anyone know where, besides Japan, that I might be able to find a fog lamp switch for the Lancer. My local dealer won't even sell fog lamps unless they were installed on the car while it was being built. I just got fogs for the Aussie Lancer and I'm trying to find the switch meant for our dash boards. Thanks.

the only option from a us mitsu dealer is to replace the trim piece on the left side of your dash. the one that has your mirror switch in it. If you buy one for an evo it will have the foglight cutout in it. The part number for the trim is MR633897 the switch part number is MR190951

hope that helps you out

Hey Gen4Racing thanks, that's really great. Do you know if the Evo part will fit in the Lancer? I've sat in an Evo at the dealership, but didn't pay enough attention at the time to the dash setup. Okay, just saw your member info - so I'm guessing that yes the parts are interchangeable. Would Mitsu actually be willing to install the new parts from the Evo into the Lancer? My dealer is kind of resistant to installing anything on my car that wasn't made for it specifically.

the parts should be identical in shape and size, the only diff. being the extra cut out for the foglight switch. I beleave the color is even the same. Install is rather easy. Two screws on the underside of the top of instament suround and pull the suround out(carfully, i ripped my dash doing it in a rush). once that is out, just stick your had behind that trim panal and pop it loose.
