Eggs damage paint?

Went racing at a local track with a friend yesterday, got back at about 1:30 this morning and looked at my car, which was parked along the road next to his driveway, and some little snot assed ****ers had egged it!! I hosed it down real quick at the friends house, drove the hour to get back home. Got to sleep about 3:00 this morning, woke back up at 8:30 this morning, went out and washed the car. Last night there was a fair amount of dew on it when I left my friends house to head home. The egg that was still on the car had dried during the drive home. I waxed the car about a month ago at the most. I hope that the egg didn't get a chance to start to eat into the paint too bad. The egg was dried this morning before I washed it, any thoughts from anyone??? I used Meguiar's wax when I waxed it and Meguiar's car wash this morning. Thinking about rewaxing it again for the winter in a few weeks, just to make sure.

P.S. Also removed the "LANCER" on the rear and put the EVO "LANCER" on the lower right rear across from the OZ marker. Pics will come later, son has camera so we can get pics of grandson!!

Eggs are BAD For the car's finish... in the process of it drying up, it eats through clearcoat and paint if left long enough. I hope ur paint didnt start cracking up or anything.

I didn't see anything when I was washing it this morning, but my eyes are kinda foogy too, long day at the track and short nights rest . I hope the recent wax job was able to stop any damage.

there was a thread on eggs on this forum before too. the eggs could POSSIBLY leave a mark where the egg shell shatterred.. almost as if your car got hit with a big piece of hail. but i just hope you took it out on time so that it doesnt leave a mark or have any effect on your clearcoat.. good luck

Thanks Majestic, still calming down from the whole thing. I think one of the eggs hit on the drivers side window and one in the trunk area. Guess I was lucky to a point, they could have keyed it or smashed some windows.

my car was egged last night too coming home from a boba drink run. i was driving and heard a "thump". thinking it was a pot hole, i was concerned about my rims being dented. turns out, some shiet heads had nothing better to do but wack each other off and egg on coming cars. where the egg, the paint chipped off but luckily i parked the car out of the cold weather so i was able to wash it off without too much damage. WHAT THE ****? is it egg lancers month??

Ya babyboba29, seems like Halloween night would have been the time for **** like this. Maybe they spent too much time playing with each other on Halloween and tried to make up for it last night. Sorry to hear about your egging!!!

Damn thing is, I was at a friends house and I don't have a garage at mine!!! I went back out and looked closer, I don't see any damage. I think the recent wax and some luck played into it!!! My friend said he will keep on the look out and "take care" of the little ****s if he can find out who did it. We'll see, guess it's all part of owning a bright yellow car .

what's worst are spider eggs. in the summer we have a ****load of spiders. and one of them (or alot more) got into my car and laid eggs. the spider eggs made more spiders inside, which pisses me off. not so much cuz of the web, but the eggs, when they hatch, they look like tiny little rust spots. and u can't wipe 'em off, they basically gets absorbed into the paintjob/clearcoat layer and stays there.

whats worst is that spider's lay alot and u'll see some red spots, and they're not rust. they're spider eggs. so make sure u clean it before they stain the clear coat.

luckily winter's almost here.

Yeah, I just got my Evo egged a few nights ago and those damn haters left a nice mark on my door. Looks like it just ate through the clear coat. It was cold and I was only parked for a couple of hours, and washed it off as soon as I saw it, but it was to no avail. The Evo bears the mark of an egged car...
