a few people have lights in the vents...do a search for it..i'm too lazy to look around for it..
and just be sure to get the right resistors for the led's..that'll make all the difference on how long they will last

why dont you just splice them into something else in your car? i thing having some plug coming out of your cig lighter is going to look way unclean. besides where will your one button start go? get some speaker wire and splice it through your amp if you have one. that way every time the bass hits they will flash. i guess thats only if you have a system tho. nevermind.

i didnt get to today, as fro the plug...they are wires, i was thinking of hooking them up to the cig lighter....would that work? im no electrician by any means, but i figured there were wires runnin to the cig lighter i could hook em up to..and im prollygonna be putting the switch for them in the ash tray if its possible, or the cubby hole right below the HVAC controls. i'll prolly have to take apart the center console to get to the cig lighter wires though. maybe i can splice into the HVAC power wire...maybe? i dunno ill have to look at it all wheni take it apart

if you take apart the center console, there are 4 wires in a harness... i believe that are controlling the cig lighter light, and the ash tray light, etc...
One of those is going to be your wire for the accesories...i believe it is the green wire but not sure...and then any ground will do.. I have all my led's wired to my ACC wire, so they come one only when the lights are on...

ok re-did this whole post cuz it was long and boring...to make it short

i want to turn the lights on whenever i want to, not have to have all my lights on u know wut i mean?

if the ashtray light comes on no matter what...that would be awesome! i want to mount my switches to the ashtray, cutout the bottom and mount them there, it has the flip door so i could conceal them theyare blue LED switches form autozone and light up when turned to on position.

if there is a light there, i could simply use the power to that light for my switches etc. it'd work out perfect! gotta figure it out tomorrow though. if no go,than ill just run a wire from the battery and negative post to the inside of the car and to the switches directly. be a lot easier that way. we'll see

based on that...if i flip open my ashtray, does the light come on whether the car is turned on or off???

so i took out the ash tray and it looks like i have to do some serious modifications under it...lost of plastic and stuff for me to be able to put them in there...so i dunno.

looks like even sheet metal is in the way to from the frame or something i dunno....ill have to look again.

edit: and the ash tray light only comes on when the lights are turned on....so i thi nk im gonna directly wire them from the batt. maybe

if you're gonna make it run off a switch...just find a constant power and that's all you'll need...i'm sure there is a constant power wire in the fusebox..or you can run a wire from your battery, thru the firewall on the passenger side..and down behind the glove box, and thru the center console to your ashtray/switch...

you can also put your switch next to your dimmer switch..in that open space...just cut a hole for the switch..that's what i did to run my underglow kit..
