Just wondered if our Air vents popped off?

In my grandam they did, all i had to do was pull them off and than i could push em back on.

Its 3 in the morn, about 25 degrees outside and my parents think im asleep or else i'd check for myself

thinkin about putting some strobes behind each vent...i think that'd be pretty badass

Blue lights of course match my floormats/steering wheel cover...however i need some new pedals. but back on topic...just wondered if they popped off and popped back on, im sure some of u who have painted there interior know for me

you can pop off the 2 on the dash with a flat blade screwdriver...and the 2 on driver and passenger side i believe you can pop off if you push them out from behind...but the 2 in the middle are attached to the trim piece..so you must take the trim piece off to get access to those....and if you don't know how to take the trim piece off...you must pry off the climate/cd changer surround, and you'll see 2 screws holding the trim piece down..then after those screws come off the rest will pop off, prying them with a flat blade screwdriver..

 

so im looking at this..and how exactly do i get behind the side pieces?

can i just pull on the ones by the door and they come off...or do i have to take apart the dash? thanks again man

i got 2 hours at college tomorrow thats a break...i think ill just use that time to mess with it all

 

whos car is that and what did you use to paint the silver/grey trim pieces on the dash and center console i want to do mine just like that but i cant figure out what paint n stuff to use same for the knobs on ac

green circles - can pop off with screwdriver

purple circles - can pop off from behind...for passenger side, i elieve it is accessed if you put glove box down, or the side piece on dash that comes off..same for driver side..

blue circles - can be popped off after the trim piece is removed

oh and BTW thanks for the compliment on the dash

sweet. ill try that tomorrow and see if it'd be easy to put some strobes in there it'd be so cool, im excited now lol and igotta wake up in 3 hrs to goto school..gah! that sucks

well im in college and i got 3 classes and im in front of a comp, so after i try all that stuff ill tell all how well it went

haha yeah im still up...layed in bed just not workin...and it sucks cuz i got school 8-2 than work 3-6 than i got bowling 615-9

so it totally blows! lol.

but anyways...the strobe lights im talkin about are the ones from autozone for $15....with slip on things ya know...anyways, my main concern is hiding the wires...but im sure i could run them behind the dash piece down to my cig. lighter im doin blue to cuz well the floor mats and steering wheel cover are blue, and it goes good with the T.G. ill paint some dash pieces blue also since its a cheap easy mod and im a broke college kid lol.

but im gonna toy with it tomorrow w00t! lol 4:45...my alarm is set to 6:57....man that blows lol back to bed i go

 

and thats a definite on the pics i got a decent digi cam..not the greatest but it works. it will be kinda cool to show it off to a blue strobe in each vent, it will be niiice. gonna stop by autozone on the way to school(if its open at 745am, doubt it lol) and pick up another set for a total of 4 lights, wire em all to one switch than to the cig lighter it will be cool once its done hopefully.

was orginally gonna put hte strobes in the front lower grill but the wires wayy to short and i dont feel like messing with it...thought the air vents were a good place to put em

 

yah, you can just run all the wires down to the cig lighter, that's pretty much what i did to wire up all my led's....so everything is hidden which is nice....
I hope the strobes don't distract you when you're drivin...

i wont have em on while im drivin lol but yeah. got time to work on em at 11-1pm central time...sitting in class now. WinXP Command Line crap...useless class for a Webdesigner...lol

 

wow pretty nice series you had there...i've kinda been in a slump lately, my average was 214 like 3 weeks ago, and now has dropped to like 203...but it will go back up..
oh well time to go to work..

 

well i planned on screwing with it all today from 11am-1pm during my 2 hr break at college...but the girlfriend was sick so i went to take care of her...and i work today 3-6 than bowling til its dark out...so it will have to wait til saturday(tomorrow)...which sucks cuz i work 5pm-230am than sunday morning i work 5am-10pm....long day...its screwd up my sleeping lol but anywyas im done ranting

i think i got the basic idea of wut all i have to do with it, so im gonna see maybe ill take pics during the install just for kicks lol


p.s. last year(senior year highschool) during high school bowling i was avg'ing 216...and i pulled in 17 of the first 18 games...than he stopped putting me in...and my avg went way down to a 195 by the end of the season....i was angry lol

 

well after working is all done, i got all day tuesday to play around with em. Im just going to put them in the center vents for now. Probably blue to match the rest of interior or white cuz thats a usual strobe color, still not sure yet. but anyways. thought i'd let u all know that FINALLY i have time to do this! im excited. Maybe ill stop by the local autozone or some place to buy some paint and paint some pieces to! it'd be cool.

wish me luck on my epic journey. lol i don't think anyone else has done this yet...not that i've seen anyways. my friend did on hsi cavy and they stopped working a week later lol.
