this has come up a few times, but no one has really drawn any conclusions about which is better. let's take a sec and lay out the facts

japanese kenstyle
- the original version (accolade's wouldn't exist if it wasn't for this one)
- manu'ed in fiberglass
- composed of a fb, ss, rear lip
- more rare
- requires fitment
- have to remove front bar
- looking at $1200 USD + shipping and fitment costs
- shipped from japan (long and takes a long time for replacements)

accolade kenstyle
- manu'ed in pfrp (ultra flexable)
- composed of a fb, ss, rb (eliminates huge ***)
- no fitment problems
- front bar removal is not necessary
- can buy for around $650 USD shipped with guaranteed fitment
- quick ship from socal or other us distributors (easy relplacements)

from the above some would argue that accolade has created the first "rip-off" better than an original. do you agree or do you have reasons to still go for the japanese version?

 

well, given your analysis, i would have to say your right the accolade ones sounds damn fine to me, and other than the back bumper they are pretty much identical, aside from i guess the back bumper being shorter, the accolade one looks a little different right below the liscence plate, which i actually like the japan style of that part more but oh well.

 

yea.. the creative motorsports kenstyle looks better for some reason :\

 

Creative Motorsports is no longer a distributor for Accolade - all the kits they sell are the old batch make of fiberglass and will require fitment.
