yes there is clear cote...

i cleaned em with water and soap
than saned them with 400 grit wet/dry
than put 2-3 coats of black sandable primer
sanded out any rough spots
put 3 coats of the paint
put 3 coats of clear coat

letting the primer dry for 10 mins in between, than letting it sit for half an hour, than applied the paint, let each coat sit for 10-15 mins, than let it sit for at least an hour, probably an hour and 15 mins, than applied clear coat, about 10 mins between each coat, and they will be sitting in my room for a while now. finished at 5:30 central time PM...they aren't gonna move til probably Sunday, once i finish regrounding and wiring my neons. its a mess! lol

THERES A HOW-TO on painting...it looks MAGNIFICENT!! but one note...make sure u dont get hair on it or blobs. i have ONE run...and its on the armrest but u can't even tell.

tomorrow may go buy more paint and paint some parts of the door....im even thinking of doing the whole top dash piece!!

but alas..its v-day, i asked the girlfriend to work 12-5 so i could set up her apartment to look all nice etc...but ill be working on the wiring/painting til aobut 2 wake up around 10, figure that gives me enough time to rewire my neons at least, or most of em....and tiewrap the excess wire length. may work on a custom grounding kit as well...

hopefully will finish this sunday, as next weekend i plan on either a grounding kit..or possibly moving the batt to the trunk.

EDIT: i wanna paint my headlights to...but in a wreck...my passenger headlight is in 2 pieces and missing a few parts...as they DO NOT come close to lining up for me to glue back together...

hopefully body shop will let me get a body kit and cf hood...all thanks to the insurance company of course

looks pretty good.... how did the arm rest come out? I wanna do mine, but I was worried the paint would crack with any pressure applied to it.

It will crack =(

I usually rest my elbow on it and it would prolly crack since the paint wouldnt adhere to the "faux leather" real well.

when i turbocharge this summer...ill just rip off the lids and custom mold my s-afc and guages in it if i turbocharge this summer...might postpone a summer to take of wheels and stuff...depends on if i get a 3rd job or not ...sucks having 2 part time jobs and going to college..and still eeking buy lol, well my 2nd job..i work like 1-2 days a week and my 1st job i work 28-30 hours a week...so

EDIT: i thought about the CF armrest cover...but i dont got enough money to spend on CF stuff...so i paint instead
