Question Spray painted my bumper on accident

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if you can help me correct a mistake I did . I just got an RRM Grill and I was spray painting the metal that's behind the mesh, and I sprayed a sprinkle of black paint on the bumper : oops. It's not noticeable until you actually go up to it. Kinda just looks like dirt but any reasonable Lancer owner will know I messed up.

I was just wondering though, is there anyway to take that off ?

if you got skill, i would try to just scrape it off very gently, and then enuf to get the spray paint off and only harm the clear coat, then jsut get that area clearcoated, and you should be good, they can usually just sandblast that kinda stuff, no biggie, shouldnt cost a lot unless you scrape it to the metal, OR you just get it sanded and repainted

hehe skill. If i had skill I wouldn't of messed up to begin with. I was looking in an old thread, and they said to use Mother's Clay bar to remove "berry stains." Will that remove the spray paint?
any more input guys???

it was windy when i did mine, and the spray drifted a bit on mine too. i just used varsol, and followed up immediately with goo-gone, and my bumper paint stayed on, spray paint came right off. i guess it's a little late for that now.

a clay bar can work on overspray, you just gotta use a surface lubricant. and if its BAD, you should use a rougher grade clay bar. but then you gotta polish and wax to get the swirl marks out.

nuthin to smile about jtc...this sux now. I was too excited when I was doing it. I'll give it a car wash...i doubt that'll take it off. Cuz i tried scratching it off with my fingers, and it was coming off a lil. I'll try diff. cleaners that are safe to take it off...I have goo gone already. Besides I still want a Kamanari body kit...LOL. any more suggestions though guys?

try using acetone (nailpolish remover or even industrial grade acetone).

well, the goo gone i used was only to clean up the varsol after. nail polish remover is not as strong, so it might be safer. but the varsol didn't damage my paint at all, i just had to wax over it after and it looks perfect.

WOAH WOAH... HOLD ON!!! you guys are going overboard, acetone? nail remover? goo gone? jesus, why dont you just use a wire wheel...??!!...all those are too harsh. if this is simply overspray, a light buffing compound or a cleaner wax will do the trick, all your doing is wiping it off the clearcoat, all those chemicals will strip off the wax and possibly the clearcoat if not careful. and since the clearcoat is white, you would not know...
