I need your opinion
I just recently painted the housing black on my HL and now im looking for some HID-style bulbs. I was thinking about getting an HID kit but i dont have the funds for it. Maybe later down the road. Also if you guys could give me an idea on which HID kit are out there that are good.
But for now i will use the bulbs.

I had silverstars, one of mine burnout, not sure why. Had em maybe 2 months.
Went to a local flea market to a car place and bought these headlights that were all in Japanese, not PIAAs, but these bulbs were bright! Brighter than the silverstars. I think they were $20, if I find the box I'll tell you what they are, I know they are 3,000W and he also had 4,350W which I will go back and get them soon for $50.

Mine are some no name brand I got on e-bay for like 15 bucks and they rule! Clear as glass and bright as day. Been driving with them for a little less than a year and no burn outs or fading. No need to waste money on name brands.

silverstars are ok, but they're not THAT great, and they're not very white, looks just whiter than the regular amber color.
i spend abit more to get the PIAAs, these are good, made in japan too. dont be the cheap 20$ those are not great, half of them will burn out within a month, and most of them use a higher wattage/voltage. my harness melted cuz of that when i had the 30$ one after a month and half.
the piaa's the best cuz it uses patented technology to display high intensity light at a regular/standard wattages/voltage.
