After a lot of searching around, I noticed that no manufacturer had released a hub adapter that fits US Lancers yet. I couldn't wait any longer - so I went and had one made.

Prototype machined from solid Aluminum billet. This is not a collapsable hub. Should be used for racing applications only.

If anyone is interested - let me know.... I am thinking about making a few more for sale.

I'm not going to produce just one unit - too much work

If I can get minimum of 5, I can probably do it for CDN$150 each (US$115) plus shipping of course. If I can get 10 - I'd be able to drop the price to CDN$115 (US$85).

Also, the collar can be custom depth for your car - this would depend on type of steering wheel you have (ie: deep dish or flat) and if you like the steering wheel closer to the body.


There's no rush on this - I know you guys want it for summer.

Time to produce would be 3-5 days.

WOW you totally Stripped that ES! lol.. Yeah i want an aftermarket steering wheel from Tenzo-R. Do i definitely need this adapter to have an aftermarket wheel??? if so i wouldnt want mine to stick out that far like that one does.. lolol Im definitely interested! (es here also)

As far as attaching aftermarket steering wheels to your car, you will need a hub. Most manufacturers (ie: Momo, Sparco, OMP, etc) claim to have a listing for the "lancer 98 and up" model. I have bought every one, tried it and returned them as they don't fit.

Why they don't fit? Here's the issue, the US lancer uses a bolt from the side that pins the spline shaft to the column. Most hub adapters use a nut from the top of the coumn to secure the hub adapter. I was chatting with an OMP representative and he said this type of spline design hasn't been used in decades..... why mitsu decided to use this design - who know ....maybe someone at mitsu is smoking my weed.... geez

Until someone makes a hub adapter that uses a side pin to lock the spline shaft - there's probably going to be nothing available in the mass market for awhile.

I believe that the OMP and Sparco are the same. Not sure about Asian wheels.

Best is to see if the wheel you have can use a Sparco or OMP hub, then we know what the measurments are..... otherwise, you'll need to send me some measurments and thread sizes.

Hi, I will definately buy the hub from you. The application is Momo Evo Millenium which seating at my room for more than a month now. Momo sent me their hub which they claimed to fit Lancer 92+, they such a liar or maybe just stupid, it doesn't work as you have said (silly me, I read your post only after I purchased). Thank you for the unprofessional + irresponsible 'evolution motorsports' in BC who wont let me to return the 'uninstallable' items as they promised at the first place.
