how much was the paint and how much did you need?

 

mmm....we used about two quarts of paint, a can of clearcoat (i think it was about a quart), and 4 spray bottles of primer. if i were to do it again i'd buy 3 quarts of paint and another quart of clearcoat and do another layer of paint and clearcoat.... as far as prices, you're gonna find different prices everywhere. i think i paid maybe $120 total on all the liquids. kareem do you remember?

wow, i haven't posted in a while... but i'm lookin to kit my car this summer. I really need to find a real estimate of how much it would cost me. I already have the Vinyl to restore the removed decaling on the stock bumpers but. .. How much is that kit shipped from this guy.

 

jc, you'll have to talk to him and see if he can give you a deal. his email is listed earlier in this thread. i think there's a group buy going on right now for this kit, and they're gonna get it for $400-$450. check it out in private for sale/wanted (i don't think it's decided yet whether they'll go with stradausa or the other distributor. i recommend stradausa).

Ya I am loving it, You are making this car everything I wanted it to be. I will try to hit up one of the SCLC meets soon. When is RIM this year?.. I might go to that as long as I can see a damn race for once. I been out of the loop of showing myself, school and all takes way to much out of me.. But damn I do want to see this in real life!.

Where did you buy the paint? Im really interested in trying this on my FB and Hood... its a temp hood and bumper so if I can do it this way, it'll save me a lot of money and i wont need to drive around with a hood and fb in primer and the rest of my kit painted! I've been looking online and the cheapest paint I can find is at paintscratch.com and its $115 per quart!!!

 

Great job to all parties in this one. Damn whenever I get my kit I need to talk to Kareem to see if he would like to paint another one. Car looks good!

thanks for the compliment adam, i actually really dig your ride too, and i'm thinkin' about gettin' vinyls similar to yours (and that CF trunk would be nice, too!!), and my red interior neons go in on monday.

boost, i'm sorry that's so expensive. i don't remember exactly what i paid, but it was A LOT less than that. you gotta find hook ups. if you were down here in so cal you could use kareem's connection. *shrug* .... good luck, bro.

snowboarder; definitely hit kareem up if you need something painted. cool guy to work with, really nice, and he pretty much knows what he's doin' (he's using MY AIRBRUSH though... lol)
