Talking RacinMyLancer's Awesome Ken Style Kit

Well Scott came to me asking for the kit to be painted and put on. So after 2 days of working in the garage and getting high off paint fumes the work is done. Fruits of the labor can be seen below:

Overspray all over the garage floor

My nice new lightning yellow table

Target practice was done on this poor defenseless peice of cardboard

Sweet looking car

Closeup of the bumper

CF Hood

Sweet rims (I might be buying em soon )

Nice tail lights and bumper

Magnaflow muffler (We painted so good we even painted the parts that arent directly visible )

Skirts look awesome.

Engine bay

Hmmmm... yup the hood is made by VIS

Nice and agressive stance

Another nice pic

Paint was bought at my neighborhood auto paint store (they mix the paint according to the dealer color code).

Nice job you guys! That is one tight looking ride, I hope to get some decent pics of it tomorrow. And I'll send some to Kareem for his portfolio (if he's making one). Now all you need is a turbo and a nice big FMIC to show in that huge opening on the front clip!

for SURE. the turbo is definitely next on my list (after a little bit of necessary clean up on the kit). i gotta say, i was skeptical about taking my paint job to Kareemco, but i'm very impressed with the final product. color matching is perfect, fitment is right on (take that all you accolade haters), and there are only a few little mistakes that we need to take care of. all in all, a successful project, and i probably saved $300-400 by doing it myself.

big BIG HUGE MAD propz to kareem (iamkar33m) and mark (imapunkclaimer) for help with fitment and painting, and accolade (through US distributor stradausa/dave) for a great fitting kit with no modification necessary. i think we're a little dumber for having sat in that fume-filled garage for two days, but it was lots of fun.

man, i'm tired.....

EDIT: VIS fitment isn't perfect; there are gaps on either side of the hood... but nothing a little creativity can't solve.

I have read that the Ken kit has some issues at the tail pipe section.
if you have some time can you take a pic of the rear bumper where the muffler is.
I just want to make sure because I may be buying this kit very soon.
Also is an Accolade kit or a rush kit.
Thanks
Looks great man!

about three layers of paint, and just one of clear. we just did the kit, to do the rest of the car, we would've had to sand and primer everything! you're talking LOTS of paint!!!!

sup corona. the stock tailpipe would fit fine. i've got a magnaflow and it's a TIGHT fit (i think to feel comfortable i would have to lower my muffler maybe half an inch, but that's totally possible), but it does fit, and it doesn't touch at all. my tip's pretty big, but i know some peoples' are bigger; in that case, i would recommend caution with the kenstyle kit (or, i imagine, any kit!), but bottom line; the kenstyle opening is in the exact same place as the stock opening. and corona, if you do go with this kit, i highly recommend david with stradausa. good guy to work with, and he's got quality kits here in the US. accolade's made some big improvements.

see answer above. no pearl in the paint.

PS guys: just added the pics to my registry... vote for my car!! (if you like it...)
