Painting the Interior/Dash
I don't think the gels would work that well and even if they did I'd think it'd be too much yellow. Check the Console Lights All In one how to in the show and shine, and someone was selling gels. If you still wish to go that route.

If you have the guts to do this, I think it will not go by unnoticed... I wonder how it would look in real life. This chop you did comes out as metallic paint. Pretty spectacular!

That grey is supposed to be the color of a silver lancer... but i justtt couldnt manipulate that color
