Cleaning engine bays?
Cleaning engine bays?
How do you guys keep the engine bay clean? I figure the easiest way is to go to a car was and pressure wash it, but I don't want to risk shorting something out. Thanks.
Only pressure wash won't do much. It will take off the durt and dust, but it won't take off the sticky stuff. Spray some Gunk Engine Cleaner, wait 15 minutes, rinse and enjoy.

If you want to make sure you don't short anything, just unplug the neg terminal of the battery. When I clean my engine bay, the only thing I cover is the Intake. Just don't spray your water to hard and you should be fine.
I Just cleaned my engine. I went to kraagen and picked some up degreaser and let it sit for 15 all over my engine (BTW, i unplugged my neg terminal) and i washed it off and it looks great! it took off all the crap on my thrrotle cable and intake manifold. wow im impressed, it got every little crevice. Anyways its drying right now and so far so good. i was a little sketchy on the idea of water all over the engine, but i guess that car is taking it fine.
