youre right, the carpeting sucks and wears out fast so its probably a good idea to replace it. you might need to get some of the "hook" velcro to stick on the bottom so it doesnt slide all over the floor.

i was gonna get some, but i forgot what stopped me.

I got a set off e-bay last summer, i lovem no slidding around because they are a snug fit, easy to clean just pullem out, hosem off at the car wash, when you wash your car, dry with a rag and your done.

IMO, those look OK, but I don't own an F-150. Plus I would imagine that they weigh a little bit more than your stock floor mats. I would save the money you would spend on those steel replacements and get some scotch guard.

there are some real nice "deep tread" rubber ones at auto zone. my friend has em. they are nice.

Like I said I got them off e-bay ,but this is who made them and who sold themwww.evolution-autodesign.com But they were alot cheaper on E-bay.
