Okay.. I can't pass state inspection here in Virginia because the "DOT" number isn't on my headlamps... they are the STOCK headlamps that i got custom black housed by Al... they are stock! why wouldn't the DOT number be on them like normal?!? .... is it hidden somewhere? .. someone please help me out!!

Thanks,

- Rob

they have a DOT "print" on the plastic :

HB5 DOT VOL

and

STANLEY P1116

those SHOULD be the DOT numbers. if not, you may wannt pop one out and see if it has any numbers on the back .. ?

Hmm.... did you watch Al black them for you? Or did he trade you a set of possibly not-OEM blacked headlights?
He may have done the swap to get another set of lights in so he could black your old set (like a core exchange)......

Otherwise it's big as the sun right there on the front of the glass- nearly impossible to miss unless it's dark out and no one owns a flashlight.

Yeah- if he traded you a set of Taiwanese lamps for your USDM lamps I'll guarantee that's why you don't have a DOT #. The tezza's RRM is selling are DOT certified.

Here's the long and the short- if Al REALLY did just black your housing for you, then you'd have the DOT #. He probably traded housings. Get in touch with him and find out ASAP
